Watch Jason Kelce ‘Confronting’ Taylor’s ex-boyfriend after “HUMILIATING ” his younger brother Travis Kelce.
In the New Heights Podcast episode released Wednesday, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce struggled to get through parts of it while telling his brother what life in the NFL will be like without Jason playing.
“In this game, you have always been a step ahead of me, and it’s always been that way,” Travis said, trying to hold back tears. “To have you out of it, man, it feels empty, and it definitely feels like it’s complete. It was a success.”
The 36-year-old Kelce officially called it quits Monday, ending a 13-year career spent entirely with Philadelphia in which he became not only one of the great centers of his era who played a key role in the franchise’s lone Super Bowl championship but a beloved Philly personality and popular podcast host.
Travis went on to tell his brother how much he looked up to him throughout his life.
“It was a fun ass journey to watch and, like I said yesterday, I just appreciate you showing me the way and bringing us all along the way, big guy,” Travis said.
Jason Kelce ended his career by making 156 straight starts, and he earned six All-Pro Team selections.
“The retirement speech was one for the ages…It was beautiful to see how grateful you are,” Travis told Jason. “Professional speaker has got to be in the next line of work.”
