The Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce made headlines ahead of Super Bowl LIX, but not just for his on-field performance. Kelce, who had hoped to lead his team to victory, instead suffered a devastating 40-22 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
However, despite the heartbreaking defeat, fans were more focused on Kelce’s drastically different look, which left social media buzzing with speculation.
Ahead of the big game, Kelce was spotted leaving his team’s hotel, sporting a sharp brown Amiri suit, trendy sunglasses, and-most notably-a brand-new head of hair.
Kelce’s once-buzzed hairline appeared significantly fuller, leading some fans to speculate that he may have undergone a hair transplant procedure.
Social media quickly erupted with reactions, with many questioning the sudden transformation.
“Travis Kelce flew Turkish Hairlines round trip & came back with a Count Dracula widow’s peak. Bro’s hairline got more plugs than a Taylor Swift concert,” a user wrote.
Another added: “I just want to know what’s going on with Travis Kelce’s hair. Is it a wig? A hair transplant? It’s distracting me.”
“Travis Kelce and his Turkish hairline is getting on my nerves,” a third noted.
While Kelce has yet to confirm or deny the rumors, the sudden change in his hairline has certainly fueled speculation that he may have visited Turkey, a country known for being a global hub for affordable hair transplant procedures.
Kelce’s fashion choice
Kelce is no stranger to bold fashion statements, and his Super Bowl outfit was no exception. The Chiefs star turned heads in an Amiri-designed brown suit, which, as it turns out, was originally intended for women.
The designer, Mike Amiri, later revealed that Kelce personally selected the outfit after a fitting in New Orleans the day before the game.
“He’s just such a great person to dress because he can wear clothes, clothes don’t wear him,” Amiri said.
“He can make anything kind of work. He’s really interested in fashion. He knows his brands, he has a perspective. There’s the reality that you’re dressing one of the most visible men on the planet.”
