Vince Vaughn had his family by his side as he got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
On Monday, Aug. 12, the Wedding Crashers star, 54, was joined by his wife Kyla and their two kids, daughter Locklyn, 13, and son Vernon, 11, as he received the special honor.
Vaughn and his two kids, who are rarely seen, posed together for family photos on the iconic Hollywood pathway.
The couple smiled on the walkway with their two kids standing between them as Vernon held up his dad’s plaque showing his star.
The actor gave his family a special shoutout while accepting the honor, saying that he’s “so grateful” to have them by his side for the milestone.
“My beautiful wife Kyla, I’m so glad that you’re with me on this now, I’m so grateful for you and these beautiful kids and for all the laughter that we share together,” he said. “As much as all this means, Vernon and Locklyn, you guys really do need to know that you guys are the most important thing in the world to me.”
“You’re not as lucrative, and you don’t give me access to the kind of stuff that this kind of thing does,” he joked, “but with that all being said, you guys are the most important and I love you very much. It’s great to have you guys with me.”
In a recent interview with The New York Times Magazine, Vaughn shared some rare quotes about his role as a dad, telling the outlet that “being a parent has been such a joy.”
The star added that fatherhood has also helped him to become “more empathetic, more patient” and to “have more tools at encouraging.”
In 2013, the Dodgeball actor talked about his love of being a dad in an interview with E! News.
“All kids bring their own joy, it’s a lot of fun,” he shared. “There’s nothing more fun than laughing and playing around with the kids.”
Two years later, Vaughn celebrated his hand and footprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre with his wife and children by his side. He has also been spotted bringing Locklyn and Vernon to Disneyland and NBA games.
