JUST IN: Liam Gallagher sends Oasis fans into meltdown as he fuels further speculation of a 2025 reunion
This isn’t the first time that Liam Gallagher has fueled speculation of a reunion with is brother Noel Gallagher
Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher, 51, has left his fans in a frenzy after sharing a cryptic post on his X account which seemed to hint towards a possible reunion with his brother Noel Gallagher, 57.
Rumours of the brother’s possible reunion come after industry insiders are adamant that next summer will be the return of the biggest band in Brit-pop, telling the Sunday Times Wembley Stadium is booked for 10 nights.
If the speculation comes to fruition, it will be the first time that the brothers have appeared on the same stage since 2009 – after Liam damaged one of his elder brother’s guitars and caused Noel to dramatically quit, ending a partnership that had rocketed them to fame and fortune.
Noel later released a statement regarding the end of their career partnership and said: “It is with some sadness and great relief…I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”
The 51-year-old has continued to fuel rumours of their reunion by offering some tongue-in-check responses to fans who have flooded him with messages asking for confirmation.
After The Times posted an article about their possible reunion on X, a fan said Heaton Park is a “terrible venue for concerts”, which left Liam to respond: “See you down the front.”
When another asked when the reunion dates will be announced, he replied: “Next Friday.”
Today, he yet again left fans questioning whether they would ever be able to see the pair on stage again by posting on his X account: “I never did like that word FORMER.”
The band Corella was quick to comment and noted: “Playing on the main stage before you today Liam, fancy a beer after?” to which the star responded: “I’d love to whoever the f**k you are but I gotta shoot off as I gotta be in bed by midnight before I turn into BIBLICAL BREDRIN and blow all your minds.”
“Former Oasis frontman?” one fan questioned alongside the side-eye emoji, before another penned: “I reckon the best way to confirm the reunion is to not reply to this message, that way it will put all rumours to rest…”
“Former, as in ‘As you were’?” someone else questioned, as another said: “Are you announcing an 8-week residency at Wembley?”
Someone else joked: “Liam if you’re playing with me, scrap outside Tesco.”
“What are you talking about man?” another quipped, leaving Liam to reply: “You tell me man.” (sic)
It comes as the band’s classic debut album Definitely Maybe is set to mark its 30th anniversary this week with a special edition release, with Liam having toured the UK this summer on his Definitely Maybe tour to celebrate.
The cryptic post comes after the Oasis account shared a grainy 14-second clip showing a country house surrounded by hills and a river back in May, however, was not accompanied by any music or caption.
Despite the lack of information, it was enough to send the rumour mill into overdrive once again, with the account following the first cryptic clip with another, this time with old television footage of the band’s logo just 24 hours later.
