Here’s why Taylor Swift is involved in the latest Drake vs Kendrick drama…
Drake is back in the headlines once again, stirring up controversy with his latest diss track aimed squarely at fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar.
Drake is using Taylor Swift to provoke Kendrick Lamar
Titled “Taylor Made Freestyle,” the song not only reignites the long-standing feud between the two artists but also sees Drake once again referencing pop sensation Taylor Swift.
Released on Instagram on Friday, April 19, “Taylor Made Freestyle” comes hot on the heels of Drake’s earlier diss track “Push Ups,” which targeted Lamar with sharp lyrics.
In this latest installment, Drake takes another swing at Lamar, while also suggesting that Swift might be the reason for his delayed response.
In one verse, Drake raps, “But now we gotta wait a f—ing week ’cause Taylor Swift is your new Top / And if you ’bout to drop, she gotta approve.”
This line not only hints at Lamar’s potential delay in responding but also throws shade at Swift’s perceived influence in the music industry.
While Drake appears to criticize Swift in some verses, he also surprisingly gives her a shout-out in the outro, acknowledging her impact on the music scene.
“Shout out to Taylor Swift, biggest gangster in the music game right now,”Drake declares, before further commenting on her recent album release.
