And, Lakers superstar James weighed in on the furor, hailing Kelce as Ohio royalty for his new A-List relationship.
The NBA’s leading all-time points scorer, who has long been dubbed ‘King James’, passed his crown on to the two-time Super Bowl winner, bestowing him with the title as the new most famous athlete from Northeast Ohio.
‘Listen, sometimes you’ve gotta give the crown up to the next one,’ James said on the Thursday Night Football in The Shop alternative broadcast for the Chiefs’ Week 6 19-8 win over the Broncos.
