Prince William and Kate Middleton have been together for more than 20 years. And at one point, he said there was one thing about her that he thought was ‘naughty.’
Prince William and Kate Middleton have been together for years. The Prince and Princess of Wales first met while attending the University of St. Andrews, and although they hit a couple of speed bumps in their relationship while dating, the two ultimately married and have proven to be a rock-solid duo.
William always said the kindest things about his wife, but there was a moment where he let slip that Kate does have one “naughty” personality trait.
William and Kate have spent more than two decades together, but one thing they never fail to do is make each other laugh. The two were friends before they started a relationship, which William has said in the past meant that they had a “good foundation” for becoming a couple. William and Kate did go through typical young-adult woes at times, breaking up once in 2004 and once in 2007, but both times, they found their way back to each other — and maybe it was because William loved Kate’s “naughty” sense of humor.
She’s got a really naughty sense of humor, which really helps me because I’ve got a really dirty sense of humor, so it was good fun, we had a really good laugh, and then things happened,” William said of Kate during the couple’s 2010 engagement interview..
William said there was something “special” about Kate, which he noticed from the moment he met her. These days, William and Kate are often seen laughing while out on public engagements and seem to always keep each other entertained. Their attraction is often noticeable, with William and Kate often making eyes at each other while in public — perhaps they think nobody notices.
William and Kate went through a tough time this year after the princess learned in early 2024 that she had cancer. Kate underwent months of chemotherapy, and in an interview in early November, William said that he was so “proud” of his wife for overcoming everything she went through.
The prince said that “from a personal family point of view, it’s been brutal,” reflecting on how 2024 took a toll on the family. “I’m so proud of my wife, I’m proud of my father, for handling the things that they have done.”
William hinted that 2025 will hopefully be a bit steadier for him and Kate in terms of royal duties. He said the two will likely have some trips planned that will let them attend a number of royal engagements together.
